Disguised Apple Pie

Ingredient

Water                                        200     g
Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Grape Flavored Syrup           100    g
Red Apples, whole, and scoop with baller                5    pcs
Graham Crackers, lined in 9” diameter mould, 1” high   1    pcs
Vanilla Custard Fillings
Apricot Glaze
Ingredients for Vanilla Custard Fillings
Sugar                                      75     g
Corn Starch                               30    g
Butter, salted                                 30    g
UHT Milk                                     200  g
Water, hot                              50    g
Eggs                                  2     pcs
Gelatin Powder                           2    tbsp

Method

1.Mix Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Grape Flavored Syrup with water. Immerse apple balls and refrigerate overnight.
2.Bake lined crackers in tart mould at 400 degree Fahrenheit for approximately 15 minutes. Leave to cool completely and brush inner of the tart with apricot glaze. Set aside.
3.Add vanilla custard, about ¾ full, and put apple in syrup on top. Refrigerate to set. Remove from fridge and brush with apricot glaze. Cut in slices and serve.

Method for Vanilla Custard Fillings
1. Bloom gelatin powder in hot water. Set aside.
2. Mix sugar with corn starch, vanilla powder, eggs and milk. Cook over hot bath till cooked and thickened. Remove from heat and add salted butter. Mix well and leave to warm. Use as fillings.


Remark : Ratio of concentrated syrup and other ingredients can be adjusted according to consumers' preference in each region.
