Churros with Grape Custard

| Evaporated Milk | 150 | g |
| Corn Starch | 30 | g |
| Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Grape Flavored Syrup | 100 | g |
| Evaporated Milk | 150 | g |
| Water | 50 | g |
| Butter, salted | 20 | g |
| Yolk | 2 | pcs |
| Food Coloring, Orchid Purple Color | ¼ | tsp |
| Vanilla Powder | ½ | tsp |
| Salt | 1/8 | tsp |
Method
1.Add salted butter and milk in a saucepan. Use medium heat and keep whisking till boiled.2.Add all purpose flour and mix well. Cook till the batter does not stick to the saucepan. Remove from heat.
3.Keep stirring till the batter is warm. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix till the batter is thick.
4.Put the batter in piping bag with star tip. Pipe approximately 5 – 6 inch long and cut with scissors into a pot with hot oil. Deep fry on low heat till golden. Remove from oil and strain. Sprinkle with icing sugar mixed with cinnamon powder. Serve with grape custard.
Method for Grape Custard
1.Mix corn starch with vanilla powder and salt in the bowl. Add yolk, Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Grape Flavored Syrup, evaporated milk and water. Mix well and cook on hot bath till cooked and thickened. Remove from heat.
2.Add salted butter and food coloring. Mix well and cool down till warm.
Remark :Ratio of concentrated syrup and other ingredients can be adjusted according to consumers' preference in each region.
