Syrup Cookies

Ingredient

All Purpose Flour 550 g
Milk Powder 50 g
Butter, salted 250 g
Icing Sugar 400 g
Egg, medium size 1 pcs
Baking Powder 1 tsp
Vanilla Powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Royal Icing, Sugar Silver Balls, Icing Sugar for decoration
Star-shaped Cookies Cutter
Baking Tray, greased
Ingredients for Sala Royal Icing
Icing Sugar 500 g
Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Sala Flavor Syrup 70 g
Egg White   50 g
Cream of Tartar   1 tsp

Method

1. Sift all purpose flour with baking powder, vanilla powder, salt and milk powder.

2. Beat salted butter with icing sugar. Add eggs and sifted dry ingredients. Mix well till combined.

3. Roll out the dough at ¼ cm thick. Cut with star-shaped cookies. Put on baking tray.

4. Bake at 400 degree Fahrenheit till golden and crispy. Leave to cool completely. Put one cookies on another as two layers. Decorate with royal icing and bake again at 300 degree Fahrenheit for 5 minutes or till cookies are dry. Leave to cool completely and decorate with sugar silver balls and icing sugar.

Method for Sala Royal Icing

1. Mix Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Sala Flavor Syrup with all ingredients. Mix well and use as decoration.

For green color royal icing, use Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Cream Soda Flavor Syrup or Hale’s Blue Boy Concentrated Cantaloupe Flavor Syrup


Remark : Ratio of concentrated syrup and other ingredients can be adjusted according to consumers preference in each region.
